Mental health is a journey of learning and growing. Every individual should take some time for themselves to reflect on their journey. Journaling is a great tool that can be used to get to know ourselves. It provides the opportunity to offload thoughts and feelings that are swarming our minds at the end of the day.
We can reflect on the events of the day and think about our experience. Being self-aware makes us more conscious individuals in life. When we are more conscious in our thoughts we are more purposeful in action, growing towards the type of person we would like to be.
Transformative growth requires time. We have to make reasonable and achievable goals. We will not be able to change everything about ourselves at once, it requires making an effort to achieve the small everyday goals. We focus on placing one foot in front of the other and before we know, we will make to our destination.
